The newsletter is a bit early for you this week, as I head off on a last minute short break to Norway.

Volatile would be the word I would use to describe this week; the investment markets, certain areas of the UK and even the weather have been unpredictable and challenging, testing the resilience and adaptability of both individuals and businesses alike.

Is the summer season often quieter for your business/sector? For investment markets, with people away on summer breaks, August tends to be less liquid, with less trades happening which can exacerbate market moves and add extra volatility. According to Dow Jones market data, there are about 9.3billion shares traded each day in August compared to the peak in March of 13.2billion average.
