Don't Leave Money On The Table

Do you know where all of your pension money is?

£31.1 Billion….. That is the estimated total of ‘lost’ pension pots in the UK, up 60% since 2018. Many of us collect a number of workplace pension pots throughout our lifetimes, so it’s easy to leave money behind as life moves forward. But why would you want pension firms to continue to hold on to and collect fees from money that you are not in control of?!

It’s estimated that there are 3.3 million lost or unclaimed pensions out there, with an average value of £9,470. Often these pensions get lost as we move home or, especially for women, change names. It’s vital to ensure that you know where all of your pension savings are. Have you had several workplace schemes? Do you know where they are?

📢 Here’s this week’s call to action 📢 - Think back over the different employers you have worked for, do you know where the pension you accumulated when you worked there? Maybe missing some? - Dig out your paperwork, log on to the website, speak to old colleagues, put your detective hat on 🕵️‍♀️ and find your money! Stuck? Get in touch.
