Inflation Falls

And so do electric car values!

Inflation fell below 2% this week in the UK. This is lower than expected but it is likely that it will go back up next month when the October energy price increases are included in the figures. Still, this is a positive step for the cost of living pressure we have had for the last two years.

Other areas of UK money news remain dominated by speculation over the Budget. There are many headlines flying around about what may or may not happen at the end of the month. My advice is to make sure your money is earning a decent interest rate/investment return and that you have made use of tax-efficient products such as ISAs and Pensions. Don’t get swept up in the guessing game panic.

Key Articles I Have Read This Week:

  • Here’s an article on Yahoo Finance that might be of interest if you lease an electric car. Negative equity issues given the rapid depreciation of the car’s value: Read it here

  • Not money-related but more linked to life goals and adventures, the BBC cover the young Brit breaking records on the world’s hardest mountains. Great to see young women out there doing amazing things: Read it here
